  HS:Imaging represents the work of award-winning Toronto photographer Howe Sim.

Even though he bought his first camera a mere ten years ago, Howe has parlayed what began as a hobby into a successful business venture. He specializes in nature & travel photography, but also invests much time in infant & pet portraiture, as well as a variety of personal projects. 

Because of his frequent travels, Howe has endless opportunities to capture new images and expand his portfolio, already one of the largest online by an individual photographer.

Howe’s work has found its way into many private homes and corporations, and has appeared in numerous media publications and promotional materials. He has authored two books featuring some of his best-selling and most popular photographs, with more books in the works.

Howe is a graduate of the University of Calgary medical school, a Royal College-certified specialist in internal medicine & gastroenterology, and an investigating coroner with the Ministry of the Solicitor-General. He also volunteers as a photographer for a local animal welfare society as well as a non-profit organization that helps parents grieve the loss of their infant child through images taken during its final hours. 

Currently Howe devotes most of his time to photography and writing, and lives in Acton with his wife and their two domestic short-hairs. He looks forward to retiring from medical practice within the next several years, in order to fully devote himself to what he considers his true calling.
